On weekly basis, the national average wholesale prices for food crops decreased as follows; Sorghum by 5%, Rice by 3%, Round potatoes by 2% and maize by 1%, while the wholesale price for Dry beans remained constant.
Maize: Prices were highest in Mwanza, Babati and Mtwara markets, and lowest in Sumbawanga and Songea markets.
Dry beans: Prices were highest in Dar es Salaam-Kinondoni, Mwanza and Sumbawanga markets and lowest in Babati and Arusha Urban markets.
