WEEKLY MARKET BULLETIN 21 – 25 June, 2021
On weekly basis, the National average wholesale prices for maize and rice increased by 2 percent, price of dry beans remain constant. While prices for sorghum and round potatoes decreased by 4 percent.
Horticulture: National average retail prices of different markets in the country for horticultural crops changed at different rates. Price for pineapple and onion increased by 1 percent. while prices for water melon, green pepper and cucumber decreased by 5, 3 and 2 percent respectively.
Tobacco: Up to the week ending 20th June, 2021 total sales were 29,122,687 kilograms with a total value of USD 44,633,382.
Coffee: Up to the week ending 27th May, 2021 total sales were 70,043 tons with a total value of USD 137.6 Million.
Sesame: Up to the week ending 24th June, 2021 total sales were 19,741,410 kg with a total value of Tsh 44,632,860,313
